“JUST Echo…but Echo will take your offer…” Maybe she could find out a little bit more about the stranger, even if it was only a little, and she wasn’t getting anything done by just standing there…
Plus, he had said he was in the middle of a delivery, that would tell her something about his life, his work…maybe he had a similar to job to herself, Echo frequently ran such errands for Vincent when he couldn’t be bothered to leave the mansion, or even for some of the other Nightray’s when they and their servants were busy.

“Why I’m pleased to hear it~” The doctor utterly lacked any remorse for ignoring her protest against the honorific as he turned to continue on his way. No need to beckon for the girl to follow when he already knew she would.

He began to hum a small tune as he walked, not caring all that much as to whether or not it was interrupted by whatever question his temporary companion might decide to voice. Her curiosity was more than painfully obvious to the Transporter, so if anything it was something he expected. Well…Either that or any of the routine attacks that went with his job. Not much of a difference really~
Echo didn’t say anything after his words, there was no need to…she had nothing to say anyway. He hadn’t revoked the way he said her name, but she was used to that, especially with the way that Oz still called her Echo-chan or Little Echo, which she still found annoying, but it did make this less so.
She followed the man as he walked away, still wondering where he would go, what he was doing.

He’d started humming…why was he humming? Vincent sometimes hummed, but it was usually only after he’d seen Gilbert…did that mean that this Kuroudo Akabane was happy? What had he to be happy about? He was merely walking through a city with someone he’d just met following him…and someone who’s first name he knew…although he only had that from the way that she spoke…
Very strange man indeed
It was a little disappointing when the young valet decided to remain silent, but no matter. For now it was enough that this interesting girl was willing to accompany him. A little coaxing couldn’t hurt though…
“Come now Miss Echo, surely you have questions for me~?” As far as Akabane was concerned there was little, if any, point in withholding such things. It wasn’t as if he would bite~

As they drew ever closer to his destination, Jackal allowed a light chuckle to escape and put an abrupt end to the melody. Oh, how absolutely wonderful. “Tell me Miss Echo, can you fight~?” questioned the doctor as his hand left the pocket of his coat to once more grip the brim of his hat. People just never seemed to learn. Though, he couldn’t say that such a thing wasn’t a convenient source of entertainment if nothing else.
They walked along in silence for a while and Echo followed his motions, still not sure what to make of him.
“Echo is not entirely sure what to ask.” She responded to him, and it was true, she had no real questions for the man, what was to ask? She could ask where he was going exactly and what he was doing…but she’d see soon enough.

“Echo is sufficiently trained in combat, yes.” Echo tipped her head to the side slightly, he had laughed, a light chuckle…she hated those kinds of laughs, Vincent did them all the time, it always showed he was amused by something sinister or hideous…some cruel form of entertainment being played out in his brain.
Why was Akabane chuckling? Had he seen something amusing? Had he thought of something amusing? Or was he about to do something amusing?
